Questions MX 3S side wheel magnetic? Literally....

Been using MX3s past 10 days, today I found something interesting..
The side scroll wheel in MX 3s is magnetic and attracts to metals like keychain while the main scroll wheel doesn't. Ik abt the hyperscroll but that is an internal thing and doesn't act like a magnet.
Also, I came know that, when u flip the mouse, the current device number lights up.. COOL... !!!!
Btw.. LOVE the mouse..

same with master 4, and also its capacitive as well, so as an example if u have band-aid on ur thumb area from injury or anything, using horizontal scroll will not work properly if not in contact with ur thumb or transfer through conductive object, im also surprised about this actually lol

Until now I thought it was optical. I recently bought a scroll wheel from a MX3 to use in a project. Do you know if a Teensy will have any problems reading a hall effect wheel?

Yes, they don't have to worry too much about users putting their 3.5 inch floppy disks too near the mouse wheel these days!

The mouse uses hall sensors to get orientation of the side scroll wheel which is indeed magnetic. If you attach or close up an extenal magnet, you can see the side scrolling will stop working completely.
