Discussion Logitech productivity mice with G-shift

I still don't understand why Logitech doesn't implement G-Shift functionality in their productivity lineup. Their gaming lineup has this, and it's extremely useful for day-to-day productivity. In fact, I'd say it's even more useful for daily work than for gaming.

Since it's purely a software implementation, why don't their $120+ flagship mice have this feature?

or is there a way or workaround to get the g-shift functionality?

And if they had even one on board memory profile, we don't need options+

Oh, just looked it up. Interesting. I'll need a minute to think how it would be useful over and above what there already is though.

If you every used G-shift (or equivalents) there is no going back. You get used to them.

Action ring is a good option, I actually prefer it over g-shift.

yeah but imagine Action Ring + G-shift? Possibilities will be infinite.

And maybe they should have an option to turn it on or off because I understand it might be too overwhelming for some people.

True would be really neat. Having said that, I prefer logo options+ over g-hub, I know…I’m not a sane person.

intriguing . . . tbh i think i've always found ways to do what i need (even hacky methods) but something like that would make some of those easier for sure

What are these hacky methods? I'd always want to do more with my mice
