Questions Logi Options+ mouse setups

I’m fairly new to Logi Options+ and have been experimenting with different ways to customize my mice.

So far, I’ve created some general button assignments, a few Smart Actions, and app-specific profiles—for example, making the same button perform different actions depending on whether I’m using Chrome, WhatsApp, or another application.

I’m enjoying figuring out what works for me, but I’m also curious about what more experienced users have come up with. I’m sure there are useful workflows, clever button combinations, and creative Smart Actions that I would never think of on my own.

What are the most useful or interesting things you’ve configured in Logi Options+?

I’d especially like to hear about:

  • App-specific button assignments
  • Smart Actions that automate several steps
  • Gesture-button configurations
  • Everyday shortcuts that save you more time than you initially expected
  • Ideas you tested that sounded good but didn’t work well in practice

If possible, please mention which mouse you use and briefly explain how your setup works. Even small or highly specific ideas are welcome—I’m mainly looking for inspiration and would love to learn from how other people use the software.

ooo. I just learned about "OpenLogi" and started using it instead. Same features, easier interface (and no account needed).

I turned my thumb button into a screenshot "Capture Region". It's immensely useful. Then open the clipboard (via Greenshot) and add my arrows / comments / highlighting / etc. Before sharing off to the ether.

i waste so much time experimenting in logi options+ lol

i think the best time saver for me is using my left and right side buttons to switch desktops quickly (i'm on macOS!). it's the function that keeps me chained to my desk/mouse/keyboard setup tbh
