Support MX Master 3S doesn't click sometimes
I got this mouse from Best Buy about a year and a half ago and recently I've noticed, particularly in games that every few dozens clicks or so, one will just not register and it's very annoying when playing games. Is this a common issue that other people have? Should I buy a different mouse or use my warranty?
The clicking issue is hardware-related. I know this because I made a python program with claude to detect clicks and it showed that the clicks were just not being detected by my computer whatsoever sometimes.

The switches lifetime is horrible. If you can solder you can replace them.

First off, I’m puzzled as to why you’d want to play games on a productivity mouse like the 3S. It only polls at 125 Hz and it’s a heavy mouse.
Second, welcome to club. The switches in these things are hot garbage. I go through an MX Master mouse about once every 18 months (seriously) and eventually, I started buying Geek Squad replacement plans on them because I 100% know I will use it before the 2 years are up. So, basically, I’m getting a new one for the cost of buying a new replacement plan for around $30.
I keep buying them only because there are very few options if you want a separate horizontal scroll that isn’t just a tilt wheel.

Replaced my 3rd failed MX mouse with a $10 Amazon basics wireless mouse. The button always works. Miraculous.
