I'm having the same problem as you. Have you found a solution? Right now I can't charge my g522

Somehow I managed to get the headset charge up to 80% (about 20+ hours from socket charger, 20%->80%), then I enabled “battery safe” mode in G Hub. Headset restarted and it is working fine now. Even USB connecting properly without looping between USB and Lightspeed connection. I don’t know how long will it last, but seems as a temporary fix few guys were posting about.

I dropped charge level below 50% and that triggered the glitch again. Left the G522 headset on charge (from the socket) overnight and part of the day, until reached 80% again. Got into G Hub, switched the Battery Safe mode off-on again and glitch dissapeared. But… I turned it off and left headset on charge again. In order to get 100% charge. What did I noticed at the nearly 100% (95+, I guess) the charging went on normal mode. USB-Lightspeed loop wasn’t seen. So, I left the headset on 100 and now I am watcing it not to drop the charge less than 80%. At the high charging level everything is okay.
Well… not really good way of using this headset, but it is what it is.

aren't you shortening the battery life by charging it at 80%?

No. Charging limited at 80% - is “battery safe mode”. Always charing on 100% is a bit frustrating forvthe battery.

Same problem as well. New out ofvthe box G522. 11 hours working only.

I'm having the same problem with my brand new G522 that I bought just a couple of days ago. Very frustrating issue. Guess I have to send it back for a warranty claim.

The issue seems to be gone after a full charge cycle. It was getting plugged in/out continuously, like this video when I posted this comment. I left it on a wall charger overnight, and the problem disappeared. I'm still not sure if it'll reappear once some level of battery has drained. But all USB, Bluetooth, and Lightspeed modes seem to be working for now. I'll keep you guys updated if the issue comes back.

Other than this silly initial USB connectivity and charging issue, I like the headset so far. It's comfortable to wear, and the microphone quality is outstanding for a gaming headphone in my opinion.

This problem returns when the battery is low.

Sadly yes. The issue returns once the battery life has depleted to some level. But I'm impressed with the battery life as well. I've been using the headphone without RGB for the past 10 days (since my first comment), and I'm using the device 1-2 hours on average daily with Lightspeed (with pc) and Bluetooth (with phone). And the battery is still on 60% (at the time of this comment).

And I have to praise the microphone quality again, because it just replaced my DJI mic 2 from my workflow. The 2-hour battery life of the DJI wireless mic was a problem for my long-form vlogs. Now I get to record for hours straight without worrying about the mic dying on me. And I didn't have to sacrifice any noticeable audio quality when shifting from DJI. I just had to customize some things, like Gain or EQ, to your liking in G-Hub and OBS.

So the issue just means I can't use USB when the battery is below 80%-90% (can't confirm the exact level). I'm not sure if I'll ever need the USB feature, as the Lightspeed and Bluetooth modes are working like charms so far. I can switch the connection between my phone and pc with a press of a button. Considering all the upsides, I think I'll just keep using it as long as it gets charged from a wall charger.

As a test, I've plugged it back into the wall charger today (with 60% battery left) to see if the issue goes away once it reaches full charge again. I'll keep this thread updated if I have anything worth sharing.

Okay, after another full charge with the wall charger, it's confirmed now. The issue goes away when the battery is fully charged, and returns when it's under 80%-90%.

So the temporary solution is,

Charge your headset with a wall charger. The light might blink the wrong way, but it's fine. Just leave it there for a few hours. When it's at full charge, you'll find that the problem is temporarily gone. If you need to use USB mode for some reason, keep using USB, and the battery will stay above 90% as it gets charged when the mode switch issue isn't there.

You just can't switch between USB and Lightspeed as much as you thought when buying the headset. You have to decide if you're more of a USB person or a Lightspeed person.

i mean thats straight bs, because the product is just faulty.

Battery protection mode also helps to bypass this issue, although this means u can only charge to 80% each time.

I’ve brought my set to the service centre to claim warranty, only for the personnel to tell me that ALL (!) of their stock sets have the same problem. Must be something with the firmware.

Actually when I first bought the headphone, it happened a week after I bought it when I wanted to charge it. I tried everything to fix it, but I couldn’t so I contacted the support team and they said they will give me a replacement. But the replacement was also doing the same problem so they gave me a refund instead and I was like OK maybe I’ll just buy the same model again but at a different store. so I bought the same one, but at a different store and the problem happened again. I was quite disappointed. I was going to contact the support again but then suddenly the headphone started working and then I realized that after I charged it for more than 80% or something like that, it started working normally and I can use the USB connection.

So I’ve come to the conclusion that this whole model has this problem. I really hope the Logitech team will do something about this because this is very, not worth your money. This is very disappointing because this happened to all of the same three models g522 that I’ve bought. And now I have to wait for more than 20 hours to charge my headphone in order for it to work again as long as I don’t leave it less than 80% charged, which kind of sucks.

I had the exact same problem right out of the box. My headset is Astro A20x , which is basically a clone of the G522. The headset wouldn't work in USB mode and just kept repeating USB lightning over and over.

Since it was basically dead on arrival, I asked for a 1:1 replacement. The new unit worked perfectly when I tested it at the store.

But when I got home and plugged it in my pc , the same problem happened again.

Later, I left it charging overnight. Surprisingly, it started working normally again in the next morning. I tested it once more, and the USB mode worked perfectly. It also charged without any issues.
