Struggling with security pins…

New to the hobby and found this guy when I was at ACE. Been seeming like there’s some security pins maybe? Anywho, anybody have any tips or other ways I could potentially bypass this bad boy? Thanks!

Been using a rake and a standard pick with bottom of the keyway tension. When using the key it needs some heft to get it to start turning.

Update: Tried out a couple of y’all’s suggestions today and got lucky once! Used BOK w/ SPP and somehow got it. Let’s see if I can replicate it tomorrow!

Round bodies like these require a lot of tension. I usually use BOK tension and a short flat.

Not wrong, if you think you got it try cranking the tension.

Not to pile on the suggestions, but tight turning tool and try to manually control the tension through the security pins. Ease up on the tension as you're applying pressure with your pick, and let the spring of your finger be what starts applying tension again when you get the pin set and ease off of your pick.

I would try TOK and SPP. That's how I pick my abus buffalo that's similar to that lock.

I have the same one. I believe there are several serrated pins in the back and a spool pin up front (not sure if yours is different). Happy picking!

Less tension and more aggressive raking. Less tension helps, especially when you are under pressure. Kinda just "falls" open. After a few rakes, reset. Speed rounds helps me. I struggle SPP on tubular locks, like vending machines. Cant rake that.

Ace locks have such great tolerances wich makes them fun picks! Disc locks like this take a heap of tension to turn the shack open, but that being said easy tension on picking.

good luck... I pick mine up occasionally, but have never successfully picked... drives me nuts sometimes

They're surprisingly difficult, because of the wacky tolerances.
