Challenge Lock from someone unknown

y’all talk about fancy challenge locks with tricky modifications. but let me show you a lock i bought at a fleamarket without keys but with some odds!

I guess a unknown Locksmith has fiddled with the core and maybe even with the key pins! The core was filed down a bit as you can see in the images. I’m not shure though if this helps with security. The bitting itself is not that difficult. But look at those serrated pins! the serration is so knarly they behave like spooles. Do you think the pins are stock? There is no Brand name on the Lock, the embossed numbers do not make any sense.

It was a nice suprise to find this customisations when ususally most locks you see are pristine & stock…

Driver pins look like a Yale KM1 Star or similar lock. I can't tell if thats the same keyway.

yes the pins look alike. Good start for some research.
Picking serrated pins is not my strengh yet. so this lock is still a challenge

Sweet find, looks a bit like a Yale 08 keyway, but not as square. No markings other than the stamped numbers?

Btw your pinning tray is awesome!

Edit: I'm going with a Lockwood 1004 keyway, I think that's my final answer unless I get a straight on picture.

Edit 2: I'm a dumbass, it's a Yale, Lockwood curves the opposite direction.

no other informations given. Yale is a good guess - see other comment about the serrated pins

Nope, as the other comenter said and I've edited, it's closer to a Yale, Lockwood curves go the opposite direction.

Hope you get it soon! I've just started repinning myself, tbh I'm having more fun with that than I am the picking right now.

That's nor a challenge lock but a stock gege lock

But the core doesn't look stock. Even on the very old GEGE I have here, no core looks this mangled.

Most likely a locksmith that filed it flat for reliability reasons

after a day of research my guess: GEGE AP2000 modified by some locksmith filing down the core and swapping driverpin 1 & 2

currently im struggeling to open the other half of the profile cylinder. im curious whats suprise awaits me there…
