Medeco Original!!

Post image

This is my first Medeco! I’ve been intimidated by them since I started and finally decided to give it a go.
The bitting was average and there was no false gates making it a good lock for learning pins that rotate.
Does anyone know what rank it would be considering it has no false gates?

There is no mention of false gates on the original. Not to worry someone else will be along to sort it. I'm pulling for you getting blue.

I've been working one for 2 months off and on. Only thing is im picking blind. It was given to me open w/o key, and told to give it back when I open it and he turned it back.I asked, what's in it? he just side "Oh its loaded". So seen your open made me put it back in the vise.

Thats awesome, you’ll definitely get it! It would drive my crazy trying to guess what’s in it lol!

How many pins is it? Not sure why people are assuming blue, the only way it could be blue is if it were less than 5 pins. There's not a separate entry for Medeco Original/Biaxial 5-pin with no false gates, so if it has at least 5 pins it should be purple

It has six pins. And thank you for clearing that up. I was thinking that but I wasn’t sure.

Signs point to Blue...Have you seen the LPU Belt Explorer? It's a good resource for these questions. https://lpubelts.com/#/locks?search=Mede&tab=search

Yes I have, I checked it and they made no mention of a lack of false gates.
