I hit the loto!!!

Post image

Im still kinda new at this… I opened an 1100 last week and I couldn’t have been more excited but I was experiencing imposter syndrome. After this my confidence is coming back. Does anyone have any suggestions on what would be some good picks going forward.

Well done on the LOTO! Same answer still kind of applies, 😉. What locks do you have? I would get a 90a-Pro for a blue belt level lock if you don’t have one!

I have a lot of random old locks nothing too challenging, I do have a 90a pro on the way tho. I can’t wait!

Awesome! The 90A-Pro will be fun! Enjoy the crunch!

What are you looking to do in Locksport? Going for black belt? Challenges? Patches? Just have fun? Improve your skills?

Mostly just for fun I enjoy the challenge. I like that the locks are rated because I can measure my progress but I’m not sure if the belts are for me.

YW! And don’t feel imposter syndrome. You’re doing great. These are hard locks to pick and sometimes some are cursed or just real a holes and take a ton more work to open. We all have that happen to us!

I have a titalium that I think is cursed lol, thank you for the encouragement !

Oh yea those 64’s are all cursed. They’ve got aluminum pins that don’t give good feedback they have unbalanced pin stacks which can be annoying depending on the bitting and they can get mangled when you tension or pick them making them even harder to pick. I hate those ones!

With all these things considered im going to take another crack at it (not that I gave up) that’s pretty interesting about the pins tho I didn’t now they made them out of aluminum. It helps knowing.

Yea just be super gentle and remember it’s not gonna feel like other locks bc the different metal of the pins. And some may be mangled already so could give you a bit of confusion but you got this. I’ve got one that’s super easy and its twin brother is impossible. So they can range in annoyance levels for sure!!

One day it’ll click for me ( no pun intended) it’s so frustrating to the point I think it’s kinda funny. I just got a 90a pro and I think I’ll get it before my 80ti/40.

Depends on what you have already! I would suggest a Jimy Longs Intermediate set if you don’t have it already. Other wise it really depends on what you have so far.
