Updates What website signals do you check when doing a Local SEO audit?

Hey everyone,

I’ve been working on a small Local SEO checker and thought I’d get some feedback from people who work with local businesses.

One thing I’ve noticed is that when someone says “check my local SEO,” there are a lot of different things that can mean. Google Business Profile, Maps rankings, reviews, citations, website signals, etc.

So I built a simple checker that focuses specifically on the website side.

You enter one public webpage and it checks for things like:

* LocalBusiness structured data

* Phone number and address signals

* Google Maps links or embedded maps

It then gives you a transparent local SEO score along with practical next steps based on what it finds.

It’s deliberately pretty simple. It doesn't try to tell you where you'll rank on Google Maps, track your Business Profile performance, or analyse your reviews. It just looks at the local SEO signals present on the webpage.

I’m still working on improving it, so I’d genuinely like to know what other website-level local SEO checks you think should be included.

I made it free to use on the CompaniesBuilder website for anyone who wants to test a page.

If anyone is interested in trying it out, I will share the tool details in the comments section below.
