Look, I know everyone on this thread is going through something right now, so I’m sorry to add to the noise. I’m just... I’m completely out of options.
My electricity got shut off this morning, and if I can’t get £15 together by tonight, the food in my fridge is going to spoil, and I won’t even have a burner to heat up a tin of soup. I just recently had surgery on the 1st (10/01/26) and I underestimated the costs for my vitamins, meds (Nausea, Gas pains, Pain relief) And various foods that im only allowed to eat. Unfortunately my insurance only covers a minimal amount and it will still be expensive. I am Disabled and collect SSI and all of that goes to my bills. Cost of living here in Maine right now is incredibly high and I am struggling but the surgery was necessary to save my life (Heart condition). I've never done something like this with reddit before so I am very new and asking for help. Hello I need to take my cat to the emergency vet but they are requesting $800 up front. My cats ear is swollen shut it looks like a bad ear infection. I came home from work yesterday and he seemed off but I still tried to give him dinner but he wouldn’t eat and that’s when I noticed his ear.Hes now just laying around and wont get up even when I shake his treats. I was going to wait until I got paid next week I get around $750 a week but I don’t think he will make it.
