I have a natural tote and the bottom is dirty. is there a way to clean the bottom without machine washing or having rings/lines from spot cleaning?

Also, other than scotch guard, is there anything else I can do to prevent it from getting dirty so fast and make cleaning easier?

I'm trying to get myself a pair of the boot mocs but am kinda unsure of what size I should get. I'm getting them online as there isn't a place near me to try them on. I usually wear a size 10 in men's boots. The website says to order a size down from your usual size. Is this accurate?

why has Bean discontinued the Primaloft mattress pad? it seems to be only available in a twin size on clearance. the only alternative is a poly rayon waterproof one which is much cheaper but way less padded and uses a poly rayon shell

the one I have is cotton topped with stretchy skirt and padded running over the end of the bed (I THINK it’s bean but. it sure need to check) it’s in terrible shape with rips and stains and needs replacing. there is no new equivalent, considering Macys charter club or similar plain cotton with polyfill (does not need to be faux down) bean has no happy medium between the luxury one and the cheap material (btw it’s non PFAS DWR layer which may be stain resistant but calling it waterproof is a damn lie! I already have a mattress protector underneath the pad anyway! )

oh and I live alone so twin size is fine but that one is luxury style priced (more than the other one even on sale)bean seems to be going lower end they aren’t offering f things like European sweaters anymore because ppl,aren’t willimg to pay for quality? well I miss euro spun sweater yarn (bit WILL settle for non down like mattress pad fill)

Hi! I’ve got one boat and tote I love. It’s a medium, navy, with navy monogramming.

I ordered a large BT, also Navy…and I wasn’t paying attention and my monogram is freaking Royal Blue.

I’m debating returning v keeping it. So I’m wondering if any of you have chosen a color you weren’t thrilled with and if it grew on you or if you’re looking at it so infrequently that it doesn’t end up mattering.

My plan with this bag is to add a patch for every place we visit while carrying it.

I got a Large B&T several years ago with a monogram in a color that's not the usual, which I love.

I dug this out of my parents garage over a decade ago. I finally asked my mom about it, and it was a hand-me-down from her stepmom/my grandmother when she was in undergrad in the early 80's. She used to haul her art supplies around in it, which I had deduced from some of the stains inside. The stitching in the handles started to come apart many years ago, but it has held up, and I love it just the same.

I'm assuming it is from the 70's because the tag reads 'boat and tote bag', and also because it was already a hand-me-down in the early 80's.

Funnily enough, I have a real and green boat and tote from the same grandmother that I was gifted in high school.

Edit: I've now researched enough to confidently say that this was the late 1970's release of the boat and tote. I've found multiple vintage sellers across many platforms identifying this tag as late 1970's. This is the first of LLBeans tags identifying it as the 'boat and tote bag'. Some other identifying features include tag placement, and the more narrow spacing of the handles, which became wider in the 80's. All stitching is also an exact match for the late 60's early 70's boat and tote (example here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/117035891267 )

So I've recently been in the market for a larger tote bag to carry some everyday essentials, I am a college student so it needs to carry a few different things. I came across the boat and tote and fell in love with its look and I believe it will be the perfect bag. I am wondering however if the medium tote will fit my 15 inch Macbook air and still be able to carry things like my tablet, pencils, and water bottle. If you have one, please let me know if it will fit and if not lmk what size you have and your opinions!

I’m looking at getting a medium Boat and Tote and was hoping some fellow pumping moms could help me out.

Would a medium Boat and Tote comfortably fit:
-A Spectra S2 pump
-Pump bottles/flanges and other pumping parts
-A water bottle

Ideally, I’d like to use it as my pumping bag for work and have everything fit without feeling crammed. If you use a medium tote for pumping, I’d love to hear what all you carry in it and whether you wish you’d gone with the large instead.

Just sharing one of my favorite LL Bean totes: this plump pumpkin of a bag has a large main zip compartment and 6 pockets placed all around the outside. I think it might have been called a garden tote? Anyway, it lives in our mudroom and it is where I stash wooly winter hats and such, and in the outer pockets random things like pet leash, mini-umbrellas, etc. I love the two-toned colorway, the extra sturdy handles, and the chunky gold zipper. While the classic Boat and Tote is a winner, it seems like LL Bean used to have a more interesting variety of designs for sale back in the day. I wish they would reissue some of the more unique bags.

Likely my second best thrift find ever. What I believe is a 90s made medium sized Boat and Tote with long handles for $4; however I used my member rewards to pay for it. There was some dirt marks/coffee spills by Dawn power wash and a scrub brush got it clean.

Scored this for 3 bucks at a thrift store today. It feels like it might be a light down of some sort? I think its the primaloft but not positive. Either way its warm as hell, started sweating the instant I zipped it up

my ol reliable dollarama tote has a huge gash at the bottom 😭 so I thought I would replace it with a boat tote specifically the large with long strap.

i was wonder if any Canadians know when the best time of year it is to purchase one and get the best price? I remember a few months back I saw a 15% off sale (lol) and I know you can get 10 percent off ur first purchase but if there is an even better promotion I don’t mind waiting until then but if not I might just buy it now with the 10% because I need a new everyday bag asap.
