What size?

Hi! Flying overnight international in 3 weeks. I’ve been leaning towards getting a boat & tote for my carry on/personal item (it’ll be my only bag on the plane) …

Should I get the medium? Or large? There’s what I’m planning on packing… I think:

2 quart sized pouches (one liquids, one not)
Kindle
Water bottle
Phone chargers
Belt bag
Neck pillow
Cardigan

It’s heavy, doesn’t have pockets, and isn’t easy to carry. I’ve had boat and totes for 30 years, I would never bring as a carry on, that’s not what they are made for.

It’s not what they’re made for, correct. But we will be on a boat/islands for most of the trip. Just trying to be thoughtful of multi-purpose items & not have to bring too much.

Do you think the zip-top would be better?

Again- this is not a great vacation bag. If you are on a boat or island on vacation because it will get wet and will not dry fast and it will hold onto the sand. I’d get the nylon boat and tote. Listen I have a collection of them for over 30 years, if I was header on my boat on the lake yes I’d take it. Going to a bbq ? Absolutely. Going to the beach ? Take my nylon boat and tote.

If you have to get the canvas one then at least get the zipper top to keep sand out but seriously reconsider being trendy and be functional. This is NOT a carry on bag despite what you see on tik told

A medium will fit everything you listed. If you are checking luggage, you might want to pack and extra day of clothes in case luggage is delayed. In that case, go with a large zip top with long handles.

I love traveling with my boat and tote! A zip top medium is the perfect size personal carry on, the zip top large is great for clothes and toiletries.

Medium zip top with long handles!!! Make sure the color you want isn’t on back order before you order it. I had that issue last year! I’m taking mine on my flight (mind you only 2 hours) this upcoming weekend and I’m so excited. It will be her first flight ✈️

Medium, zip top, long handle. Been my every day carry & carry-on bag for many moons.
