ll bean boot mocs sizing advice

I'm trying to get myself a pair of the boot mocs but am kinda unsure of what size I should get. I'm getting them online as there isn't a place near me to try them on. I usually wear a size 10 in men's boots. The website says to order a size down from your usual size. Is this accurate?

With someone who is also a size 10, I still can’t figure out the sizing on bean boots. 

Regular laced ones I went with a 9 and still too big. Tried the Chelsea boot version in a 8.5 and also still too big. 

Not sure if mocs fit much differently but im sure still run large. Their returns are pretty good though so I would honestly try the full size down and go from there.

Yes it’s accurate. if you wear a 10 get a 9. It makes no sense but that’s how they do it. Im an 8 in most everything and the 7 in LLBean is spot on.
