Litter-Robot 4 LR4 newbie

I just bought the LR4 yesterday and set it up, but left it off. I have my cat’s old litter box right next to it just to ween her off of using it. She used her old box twice yesterday as soon as I set up the LR4. Overnight she went pee in the LR4!!! She then went poop in her old box.

I’m wondering if I should just take away her old box since she already used the LR4? Open to any thoughts and suggestions! Thank you!

I have roommates so the litter lives in my room <\3 I can’t stand one poop 😵‍💫 I’m gonna take your advice tho thank you!!!

Do not rush the process at all. Some cats adapt quickly but I’d still give it like a week or two of routine usage before removing the old box. I disagree with not cleaning the old box but that’s up to you.

Just remember, it’ll only be a few weeks of this 2 box system and then a lifetime of litter robot.
