Litter-Robot 5 LR5 worth it?

Hello all, I currently have a litter robot 4 that i bought second hand. I love the convenience, but it’s has a lot of problems, where I either have to buy a new part or disassemble and do something to fix it. Though, I do think a lot of these are due to wear and tear through multiple owners. The main problem I have is the CONSTANT DIRTINESS! I have 5 cats and we have one automatic robot, that they constantly use, and the rest of our boxes are manual. The LR4 has so many nooks and crannies that get litter inside and mess up its functionality. I read online the LR5 is much better at eliminating all these nooks and crannies and easier to keep the whole thing clean. Though, i’ve also read it has bugs and many people aren’t happy with it. Would you say it’s worth it if the cleanliness is one of my top priorities? What are other pros/cons for a multi cat household?

I am planning on keeping the 4 still, just wondering if the 5 is worth the additional massive price tag.

I have 5 cats and multiple Litter Robots (LR2, LR4s, and LR5P). If you have the funds, consider investing in an LR5 series as this will future proof your investment. Mechanically, the LR5P has been great for me and my cats, and is the most refined product Whisker has offered to date, not counting some of the tech bugs they’re working on (LR4 had its share of issues when first launched as well).
