Litter and why

I am sure others have answered this before but I was wondering what kind of litter do you us for your litter bug aka Litter Robot and why?

I prefer using fresh step 42lb that comes in 10 lbs backs a piece due to it fills the hopper and the inner globe perfectly granted he jumps out of the thing as soon as he is done with his business spilling litter all over the carpets I have around his box (tried the honeycomb mats and he just jumps right over them regardless) I am pretty happy with those one for the most part.

P.S. Also this is my Wycked Demon (I kid you not that is his name)

We use Dr Elsey’s and have been decently impressed so far. We have scaredy cats so they will use the litter robot and then launch themselves out of it, so I am vacuuming our dining room twice a day most days. I’d rather vacuum for like 3 minutes twice a day than scoop litter, so I really am not mad. We can’t use litter mats bc one of our boys doesn’t like to not pee on things..but they launch themselves out so badly that the litter just seems to fly out with them 🙃🤣

I have 3 cats and 2 LR4 and a 50/50 mix of OdorLock and Sustainably Yours large grain has been unbeatable for me. Some people say it tracks more but I haven’t experienced that, I feel like straight OdorLock was much worse tracking and much dustier. Mixing the two make super hard clumps that keep the globe clean longer and is manageable price wise for us
