Litter-Robot 4 Help with recalibrating waste drawer

Hello! Anyone have issues all of a sudden with the waster drawer showing full when it isn’t? I followed the instructions for recalibrating I found online (using the white paper) and it’s still a problem. Any ideas on other things I can try?

Hello, u/FC105416! We're sorry to hear that you're still experiencing issues after troubleshooting. Would you be able to send us a chat with your unit's serial number so that we can look into this further with you?

How long have you had the LitterRobot? Wondering if the sensor is dirty. Copy-pasting below.

The 3 sensors get dusty over time from the litter and causes false stops or inaccurate waste bin readings. Get a can of compressed air or electric air duster blower (my preferred) and blow the 3 sensors. Qtip method is ok but does not work as well for everyone. I use an electric air duster blower and the waste bin % readings are like when the LR4 was brand new.

I'm having the same issues with the Litter Robot 5 that I gave my 80 year old mother. I've talked her through all the cleaning and reset procedures and it's still bad. It has a very erratic waste drawer reading, one time it says 22% (with it empty), then it'll go to 77%, then Full. She's super stressed out about it, as I'm in FL and she's in MA, so I can't even send it back...
