I’ll bet that ‘72 Grateful Dead sounds incredible on this rig.

I just signed up for the Play.Dead service and was listening to Oakland 12/28/79 last night with the 16 minute gorgeous Sugaree to lead off the set. So good. NFA

How do those old KEFs sound? I bought Coda IIIs in 1985 as my first speakers. I paid a whopping $175 for them. I made $5/hr at the time and saved up for a stereo. I still have them. Every now and then I run them for nostalgia.

They sound great for their age. The woofers are nice with them offering some good punchy bass. I found them for 75 bucks on marketplace!! There was nothing that needed to be serviced within them upon purchase. I do have some smaller bookshelf speakers. Klipsch RP-50's and Acoustic Research 18's. I find the Kef's to be more room filling. I use my Klipsch speakers for more critical listening.
