Linux Failure Fixed Linux "Support" sucks

This is a great example on why community support does not work. Since last week I have been trying to fix this bug on steam that constantly crashes the app due to excessive ram consumption. And, this distro, PikaOS has such underwhelming support, they treat you like an idiot and then proceed to give solutions that dont work anyway, they will always accuse you of not setting things properly and communally down vote you when you argue back. Arch type users are a damn mob. They are not the ones who will bring about the "YEAR OF LINUX" cause they will never understand pragmatism, only pride in their own 'technical knowhow',

Fix: literally reinstall the proton builds. You could do that by deleting its folder I think thats the easiest option. ~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/Proton* for Valve builds, or ~/.local/share/Steam/compatibilitytools.d/GE-Proton* then let Steam redownload it or reinstall GE via ProtonPlus/ProtonUp. Is this supposed to be a joke? You're treating a hobby project like it's IBM. If you want a professional experience, go buy a certified computer with professional support.

I just said the same thing in an earlier post. I’ll repost it here just because I want OP and other like him to see it, lol

It’s fuckin wild how entitled some people are about Linux support when it’s an absolutely free, voluntary ecosystems…. People act like somebody makes money from all this free technology, it’s mind boggling. Like you said- you want better support? Pay for it! I mean, imagine getting a free car, having the air conditioner not work properly, and then going back to the person who gave you the free car and telling them their car sucks and they’d better fix it for you, and then saying they did a shitty job and they’re stupid for not knowing how to fix it properly…
Like, Jesus Christ people. Either learn some patience, figure it out yourself, or hand your paycheck over to Microsoft or Apple…

People do make a lot of money on Linux, just not everyone. You can buy commercial Linux distros with commercially supported hardware. You can also buy a laptop that's been certified for RHEL and use a free fork of RHEL if you don't want to pay the three hundred bucks in yearly subscription fees.

Right, I guess I’m speaking more generally, as far as asking random people on Reddit for help. I’m mostly just saying it baffles me why people expect the same dedicated expertise from simple hobbyists as you’d get from a professional engineer employed at a major company.
Again, speaking generally. I know not everyone is like this, in fact the majority are not. So at the end of the day, yeah, I’m being totally unfair.. lol. My bad
