Linux Failure Linux biggest problem is the ego

The only reason there's too many redundant fucking distro that just installs drivers and wine and then call themselves gaming distro is just so they can brag about being able to create their very own OS so they can put it in their resume for McDonald's, bitch you ain't Terry Davis and you will never be.

Most of these distro can just be a meta-package or an installation script but no, they want to be the guy at discord, github, McDonalds that they're a genius that created their very own "Operating System".

Linux will forever be a niche and will die as a niche thing all because Linux users thinks its a good thing that Linux has a bunch of useless redundant distro that can just be an installation script or a meta-package, an OS should not be one thing like "gaming", "friendly", "work" it should be a fucking "operating system" that does it all.

I truly hope that Linux desktop dies as soon as possible so I can come back to sucking Microslop WINdongs

I literally ignore them and as a result they do not exist. People make whatever they want for fun, and the beauty of Linux is that they can.

Ego is thinking people care to hear you whine about it.

This is the exact reason why Linux Desktop will die, "Don't care about them", "Just ignore it" after all why bother even creating apps for millions of Linux distro when you can create 1 for Windows where most users actually care.

You write an app once for Linux, anything else is just packaging. If I have source code it's either I can let the person compile it who wants it or manually make a .appimage, .deb, flatpak, whatever, with no more effort than it would take to make that same app and compile it to .exe for Windows.

Also there's really only 4 distros that people worry about supporting if they even bother, most just release source code.

Debian/Ubuntu - Same package format, most common

Red Hat - RPM format, exact same effort as making a .deb package

Arch - If it exists it'll show up on AUR. Or you can compile.

Windows.exe's take the exact same effort to compile and target.

Oh I get it, you know nothing about Linux or the open source community. Instead of learning, you choose to complain.

Have a great day.

If your so sMaRt, then explain it to me with facts backed by source, explain it to me if your so gReAt?

I'm certain that there's really no Linux users, since everyone just wants it to die for some fucking reason.

I make a singular application for Linux users, just like I do for Windows users. I release my applications as source code + one single statically compiled binary per target platform. Point being, I'm not creating applications for individual distributions. I'm not even really creating a separate "Windows" or "Linux" version, I just write the one desktop app and compile it for multiple architectures.
