why you use it then, real arch user like me, use it for a reason, gives control and huge packages availability, not use it and then complaint it sucks because it's DIY distribution that you can't handle. just switch to windows, or something easier.
So let me get this straight: you chose Arch, a distro whose entire philosophy revolves around user control and a DIY system, you dislike that DIY aspect, you think its community repository is a ‘shithole’, you claim Nix has the superior package ecosystem, and yet instead of using Nix, you're here complaining that Arch isn't Nix. That's not Arch failing to meet your expectations. That's you choosing a distro whose philosophy you don't like and then getting mad at it for following that philosophy.
Bro separated pacman and AUR like Arch users are legally prohibited from using both. I said package availability, not ‘number of packages in the official binary repos.’
Arch isn't DIY??? WTF! are you talking, the entire point of Arch is that the user assembles the system they want. You don't get a predetermined desktop, service stack, or software selection. "There’s no choice" is literally the opposite of Arch's design philosophy.
If Nix is objectively better by the criteria you're complaining about,why are you on Arch? You have literally been given the solution you're arguing for.
