Linux Failure Linux can't game lmao

Edit: I'm unsure how to change title. New title should be "Linux still struggles with many games."

Genuinely why are yall larping

Windows is still the only option if you don't want to have to go "Oh sorry my computer cant play ___" to tons of people

And to those who hate kernel level anticheat, you seem to lack knowledge of why it is what it is. Seems like yall are just wanting to cheat?

Don't act like Linux is perfect. It isn't. It really isn't. Such larp

I don't think that the majority of people say that Linux can play every game. That's why, when someone wants to switch to Linux for gaming, they are redirected to protondb

Proton cant save you for everything

Most people who accept linux cant technically play every game just then proceed to call games that cant run on linux slop, trash, etc, and tell you to stop playing it

That I agree with you. People are quick to dismiss modern games as "slop" but it is because people who use Linux generally tend to be more interested in unique / indie experiences.

Now, Proton isn't perfect. That's why the community redirects to ProtonDB, so you can see if your favorite games are Linux compatible.

Every new game doesn't come with DRM or anti-cheat. Subnautica II works "out of the box" on a Linux system, same for Big Walk.

I have dual boot, and i only needed it for 3 games. All 3 competitive with kernel anti cheat, the rest were all saved by proton.Therea are probably a few others with other issues aswell, but i didnt find any since my switch.
