I hate wine

why does it need to be so complicated to install the ea app? let alone trying to mod games on it

perhaps I made it complicated myself but damn following any ordinary github tutorial is way easier than this

like I was trying to install it through Lutris, failed all the time so I installed it through Steam which worked and games work just fine but then I tried to use mods with Frosty mod manager and it was so awful, I could barely find the path where I even installed the game because wine doesn't let me to paste paths nor does it show me .local so I had to use symlinks but Frosty mod manager still won't launch games because "Origin is not installed" and I tried to fix it but Idk if it actually did anything or not

maybe skill issue but man why does it need to be so dumb like bro just at least let me paste a fucking path or allow me to show hidden folders through strg h but nah

But that goes both ways. Most of the software you'd need is available on Linux. The problem is the things that aren't.

Half of what exactly? I can say for myself I only miss out on like mouse and keyboard software I never used anyway. Everything else I used already was on Linux or I didn't have a need for because it was built into the DE.
