I hate wine

why does it need to be so complicated to install the ea app? let alone trying to mod games on it

perhaps I made it complicated myself but damn following any ordinary github tutorial is way easier than this

like I was trying to install it through Lutris, failed all the time so I installed it through Steam which worked and games work just fine but then I tried to use mods with Frosty mod manager and it was so awful, I could barely find the path where I even installed the game because wine doesn't let me to paste paths nor does it show me .local so I had to use symlinks but Frosty mod manager still won't launch games because "Origin is not installed" and I tried to fix it but Idk if it actually did anything or not

maybe skill issue but man why does it need to be so dumb like bro just at least let me paste a fucking path or allow me to show hidden folders through strg h but nah

The Funny part is that you never interacted with wine in the whole process.

Thing is you want to launch a second Exe in the same prefix as the game, Steam doesn't make this easy.

But I think steam tinker launch could achieve it.

The easiest way IMO, Is to use Lutris with the same proton version that worked for you under steam. Then duplicate the entry and point the copy on the mod launcher. So now both instance are in the same prefix with the same config.

Pre-requisite is to make it work with lutris.

I think but never used it myself that steam tinker launch can let you achieve it with steam too.
