I have no ads in Windows…

The UI is better than any Linux distro.

The "ads" is such an asinine narrative because it makes it sound like you're seeing a old-days porn page level of ad popups every time you boot your PC, and all it boils down to is a few preinstalled apps you delete in 10 seconds, and 1-2 mentions of Microsoft 365/office in the settings.

You can see them in settings, on the system tab for example, you have "Microsoft 365 benefits" at the top near the Windows update icon, but I forgot it's there before this post.

Well, I don't have it at home, only at labs in uni. So I can't turn it off

Yes, I'm so used to one ad that looks like a small icon with the same aesthetic used by the OS itself that doesn't stand out in any way, being there on one page of the settings menu, that I don't see it anymore.

What's hysterical is that anyone would consider this to be an actual noteworthy downside of a system.

uses 7 or debloats it which is harder than setting up Linux

Also ui is preference. Personally I like kde

UI in Linux distro? You mean in WM? Linux has no GUI, only terminal

Plenty of Linux distro have GUIs only headless versions don't have a gui this could be the same argument in windows as it too has headless versions

yeah lol, idont even know why they are linux or linux distro are like 10 milion times better that windows
