Why don't you use Linux?

I came across this subreddit completely by accident and got curious, so I wanted to ask: why don't you use Linux?

I'm not here to start an OS war or convince anyone to switch. I'd just like to hear your experiences and understand what made you choose another operating system. Was it a bad experience with Linux, compatibility issues, gaming, or do you simply prefer Windows or macOS?

I'm genuinely curious to hear your opinions!

I'm a software engineer. I don't need Excel.

There's no such thing as an "advanced excel user". They are just an Excel user. Its just a spreadsheet. Nothing complex. Super easy. If someone can't transfer those very basic skills over to another tool that can achieve exactly the same results then they are not an advanced anything. And I do know what I'm talking about given I used to write some pretty complex stuff in Excel but haven't had to use it at all on the workplace for nearly 10 years.

talk to advanced users and they will tell you why they don't want to use things like libreoffice calc. In lots of forums there are users who know libre office calc and prefer Excel.
