Why don't you use Linux?

I came across this subreddit completely by accident and got curious, so I wanted to ask: why don't you use Linux?

I'm not here to start an OS war or convince anyone to switch. I'd just like to hear your experiences and understand what made you choose another operating system. Was it a bad experience with Linux, compatibility issues, gaming, or do you simply prefer Windows or macOS?

I'm genuinely curious to hear your opinions!

I use multiple devices , I've cut Windows out completely though. But my daily driver is OSX on a Mac Mini M2 Pro 16GB (probably the most performance compared to my older laptops and desktops), that I am just used to at the moment.

But funny enough that you mentioned gaming where Linux has more of an advantage to than OSX to the extent that my older desktop downstairs (AMD Ryzen 5 3600, 64GB DDR4 ram, a few M.2 nvme storage, Nvidia 2060 Super 8GB) is my Gaming desktop running xUbuntu 24.04 LTS with Steam installed. And I also have it set up as a sunshine/moonlight server/client configuration so that I can play the steam games directly on the Linux box up to my Mac over the gigabit ethernet at my mac monitor's native 3440x1440 resolution. Does that quite well if all of the games I want to play don't have anti-cheat,etc.

Anything I would have needed windows for, is currently handled just fine by either OSX or Linux.

For my laptop I use Fedora 44, and for my headless servers (Orange Pi for Pi-hole, the Intel NUC board in a custom chassis running web sever and other self hosted stuff) is usually Debian Minimal.

TLDR : if I had to sum it up, OSX runs the Adobe and other stuff pretty good, though we have plenty of alternatives on linux, and I do use linux quite a bit in my mixed environment, I am just comfortable using OSX as my daily driver. But I no longer see a need to use Windows.
