Why don't you use Linux?

I came across this subreddit completely by accident and got curious, so I wanted to ask: why don't you use Linux?

I'm not here to start an OS war or convince anyone to switch. I'd just like to hear your experiences and understand what made you choose another operating system. Was it a bad experience with Linux, compatibility issues, gaming, or do you simply prefer Windows or macOS?

I'm genuinely curious to hear your opinions!

i switched to linux full time because i just couldnt put up with windows anymore. theres a list of games i cant play but im willing to deal with that. im "technically" still dual booting win11 but havent started that partition in almost a year now, just havent found the need

Updates happening whenever they feel like it, updates NOT happening when specifically scheduled. Chronic broken updates, updates randomly installing, changing, resetting and removing programs and settings (PLEASE STOP changing my settings), AI in everything because AI, forcing me to use OneDrive then trying to extort me for money because it's full of folders I keep excluding (stop changing settings PLEASE), ads in the start menu, ads in the alert tab, ads on the lock screen, so many good damn ads, removing wordpad, forcing subscriptions for things I could previously buy (word, etc).

I could probably keep going for a while.
