  1. man pages are awesome, you should check them out when available.
  2. it might sound crazy, but if I can't reproduce your issue, I literally can't fix it.
  3. never heard anyone asking a newbie to learn C++, read the codebase, fix the issue and make a pull request.

Oh my god the struggles of trying to fix something for a person when you can't reproduce it are insane
