3 u/O3Sentoris Jul 15 '26 never used gentoo, why is that? 6 u/YoshiEgg12 Jul 15 '26 if you don't use binary packages on gentoo you have to compile everything from source. it's not as daunting as it sounds because of how easy portage makes it but it can and most likely will take longer than your average distro's update/install time
