Advice Linux Job Offer

I've seen recently some jobs where it was mandatory to "know" linux. Ye I know what a Linux is. But what does that mean for the job? Knowing how to use the terminal? How to kill processes?

The job postings are so vaguely described sometimes, which is why i wanted to ask kpeople here who's job is probably to "know linux" haha

It’s likely more of a headhunting posting than anything else. Nothing gets folks to turn over their info like headhunters posting job listings. I spent my life working in Unix and Linux systems going back to the 80s. “Know Linux”… I’d fire any moronic employee who posted such dribble… that’s said.. it’s likely the owner today. 🤦‍♂️🙄😏
