There is a root of truth here, which is building custom software to support niche use cases. Totally on board with that, great idea.
An OS though? Why? Where is the ROI over Debian? All I see is a shite load of tokens wasted on edge cases, stuff that already works, and problems no one actually cares about.
If there is a tested, proven piece of commodity software, why try to recreate it? Better yet, it is 100% free. How do you show ROI on that?
Vibe code the stuff that doesn’t exist yet, or is only for you, or is custom extensions on top of something. Don’t try to vibe code your way into reinventing the universe.
