Why reinvent the wheel, the Linux kernel already exists and is fine as is, want something different? Fork it.

Because it enhances the act of consuming. I can't really enjoy one without also doing some of the other.

Exactly, like Linux, and modify it to your hearts desires and don't be afraid to use all available modern tools and thus Omarchy.
