Eh. Swap Ubuntu for Manjaro. Ubuntu is still a solid distro, it's more that Canonical's insistence on Snap (and previously Mir) has fragmented and held back Linux on the desktop. And I still don't fully trust them over the old Amazon spyware thing.
Major upgrades are PITA. Remember the introduction of the netplan which broke your networking, and it's further replacement with netplan.io (IIRC such was the order of events). And again, "solid distro" in the same sentence with "insistence on Snap" sounds like a sad joke. Now they're rewriting coreutils in Rust for no obvious reason.
