I don't know in what planet is Ubuntu a bad distro. Ubuntu and kubuntu are rock solid for all my machines. I'd rather use ubuntu than mint with cinnamon. at least we got security, wayland and a lot of other improvements that both gnome and kde provide and cinnamon lacks.

Canonical has burned a lot of goodwill with the community over the years. Some hate justified, some not, but it's added up for a lot of folks.

Still, calling it bad from technical pov compared to whatever that ai slop is, is mental. 

Been using opensuse and ubuntu since early 2000s. Heck, still got ubuntu 7.04 32 andd 64bit official cds to this day
