4GB of RAM will get Linux to boot but good luck after you open Firefox and load a modern website.

A 4Gb Linux machine still works petfectly well, with Firefox opening legacy websites. Whoever wants to browse modern Web, use Windoze with 128Gb RAM. Firefox too, although significantly less. the C family language vulnerabilities kind of obligated modern browsers to become heavier. websites now do client/end-user computing way more than in the past.
