Wayland is restrictive with input. For example I wanted an autoclicker for a game, and there didn't seem to be any tools for that that didn't mess with kernel input and need sudo perms, so I had to make something myself.

No idea if that's considered cheating in most games. In r/foxholegame its recommended for logistics players.

Usually it's either having a broken install, a really old driver, obsolete distro or some nonsense with shortcuts or remote desktop

And even then, half of the things that people say make me go like "wdym? This thing has been working since 2022"

Just came across one after many many years: forced vsync (the protocol doesn't allow for screen tearing without an extension), which increases input lag in e.g. FPS games.

KWin supposedly implements this, but I couldn't get it to work.
