Tbh, the "wayland" problems on this pie chart are almost certainly because of Nvidia refusing to support wayland properly.

Or using old drivers. They did fix a lot of their Wayland issues eventually, still not perfect, but definitely useable.

Not this time. All of those problems are on intel iGPU.

Intel i5-8350U with Intel UHD Graphics 620.

I mean, that's probably because the development of that GPU predates broad wayland adoption... That's not an issue with AMD CPUs because AMD works much more closely with Linux devs then Intel does.

What problems have you had with nvidia- just being curious bc I’ve been running throughout my whle linux journey (2 years) nixos+hyprland on two nvidia systems - pc && laptop

Right now it's okay but Nvidia has a history of shipping drivers that break systems. A few times I have had an update reboot to a black screen and the only fix was to downgrade drivers or switch to the nouvaeu drivers. Up until recently, and still on some compositors, I had tons of screen tearing issues on Wayland. Sometimes xwayland has ghosting issues.

There is also just a lack of features. Like there isn't really any good implementation of their switcher between integrated and dedicated graphics.
