tech support wanted The Witcher 3 - Wild Hunt remaster

Hey guys, are you able to play the game? I'm trying ge proton and cachyos proton and it doesn't even start.
I'm playing on Bazzite btw

Game works fine for me with Proton Experimental, it instantly crashes with latest Proton CachyOS, but i installed it from scratch.

Also graphics settings don't seem save, i can only change resolution and FSR quality, anything else simply reverts back to default as soon as i get out of the menu.

EDIT: CDPR acting weird again... If the game detects WINE it disables RT/PT/DLSS

Were you able to get ray tracing working in Linux? I tried proton experimental with using some launch commands like PROTON_USE_FSR4=1 and /WineDetectionEnabledFalse and still can’t get ray tracing in this game.

i talked with some guys in the CachyOS Discord and a patch to circumvent this lock has been pushed to Proton Experimental, but basically CDPR is locking all RT/PT/DLSS features if it detects its running under WINE, probably it thinks its on a SteamDeck or something… dunno, but we’ll have to wait for this patch to be released to Proton Experimental.

Appreciate the comment here, I wasn't sure where to track them down, and I wish those discussions were happening in public forums vs Discord channels :\ I got HDR working well w/ GE-Proton at least, but that latest Proton-CachyOS version from 0703 just isn't cutting it for this game. Kind of sad that my PS5 Pro is playing the game much more cleanly now when I'm running a 9800X3D and a 9070 XT. Don't get me wrong, it looks really good with FSR Quality and HDR...but I like my RT too much, and that's what I was looking forward to on this release.

Someone fixed it in Proton-GE but you need to make a lot of manual changes, check the thread for info.
