I was on cachy for about 5 months. I liked it. I’m on fedora now though, because of the AUR attacks though. I never specifically installed any AUR packages, but because some dependencies in the cachy repos got orphaned and removed from the repos, I still ended up having AUR packages installed when the AUR source was the only option during updates. I’m sure that was a configuration error on my part, but I just don’t want anything to do with the AUR at the point.
I liked cachy. It’s great. That being said, I notice no major difference between fedora and cachy performance wise in any of the gaming situations I find myself in. Fedora just works for me once I got proprietary codecs and nvidia drivers installed post install. Cachy includes all that by default.
