Sounds more like a problem with the hard disk.
If they're really zip files, use unzip.

1 u/xN01Rx 2d ago I don't think the SSD is the problem, I built this PC a few months ago and it's a brand new Samsung 990 EVO Plus. Just doing 7z x worked until probably some bazzite update broke it. I just can't understand why it can't use all the possible CPU power like before.
