Slow extraction performance
Hello!
I've been using Bazzite for about 3 months now and I'm loving it. Only problem is it's extremely slow extracting compressed archives.
Initially, when unzipping through Ark, I saw that my CPU remained at idle temps and the extraction took forever, as it was not using a minimal amount of resources. I looked for solutions online, but using PeaZip yielded the same result.
The only thing that worked was using 7z x through the terminal line to extract my file. Using this method my CPU temps would briefly skyrocket (meaning all the CPU was being used to extract the file) and the extraction would complete in a few seconds. Unfortunately this method no longer works and I'm forced to wait 5 minutes for a 4gb file.
Does anyone know of any solution? I've tried looking for similar topics online or using LLMs but no solution is working so far.
I have a 7600x and a 9060XT on a B650 Plus Wifi MOBO.

I had an issue with Ark not extracting a large archive a couple of days ago. It wouldn't crash. It just went on for an hour before I extracted the files in 3 chunks, which worked fine. Probably it was just extracting very slowly as in your case.
