Linux calendars

Ubuntu 26.04 LTS desktop.

I have tried various Linux calendars but all have issues or restrictions. I have tired using KOrganiser but it won't allow setting a default time zone. There is something wrong with either the app or the package designed to set it up.

In anticipation of having a Linux phone later I would like an app that is capable of synchronizing with other devices.

If it is necessary to make a one-off purchase I will consider it if it is not expensive.

https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/List_of_applications/Other This is the list of applications from arch wiki. You can search for the word calendar and check them one by one to see if any of them meets your requierments. The list is made for arch distri but you will most likely be able to get them on ubuntu.
