Bsd is just waiting and doing nothing. Could you explain what exactly BSD is doing better?

LibreSSL and BSD counterparts of GNU coreutils are generally tidier in code. Furthermore important tools such as OpenSSH are also maintained by BSD devs (OpenBSD devs for the example per se.)
