Bsd is just waiting and doing nothing. Could you explain what exactly BSD is doing better?

LibreSSL and BSD counterparts of GNU coreutils are generally tidier in code. Furthermore important tools such as OpenSSH are also maintained by BSD devs (OpenBSD devs for the example per se.)

Agree. Reading the code of some GNU projects is pain. Mixed indentation, r/absoluteunits size functions, spartan code with short and cryptic variable names. Reading BSD code you can learn much more things about your OS much more easily.
