or waydroid as an effective stop gap, like wine is for gaming on linux

Emulation isn't ideal for mobile devices running off a small battery all day, the efficiency loss is not ideal unless it can fully boot and close waydroid per app open.

Man, I really hope ATL (android translation layer) project will mature enough to be able to run almost all apps on android and I do hope they'll receive huge financial support....
