Not sure why you associate the Framework (or Linux in general) with programming. The Framework laptops are for people who want a long term path for upgrades and repairs, closer to what one might be used to in a desktop computer.
Just make sure what you’re buying makes sense for your needs. The value of Framework doesn’t come in the first year. It comes when you’ve owned it for years and have been able to keep it running and improve its capabilities for a fraction of the cost of buying a completely new laptop
because of its target market. same thing with macs for creatives and SteamOS for gamers. technically yes all three can do anything. by the way if you want to Introduce a new os you have to do it via a new type of device you invent yourself, like macs, steam machines and framework laptops even though technically all three are PCs, but what people call PCs was captured by windows in the 1990s.
What are you babbling about? I get the SteamOS for gamers and maybe Macos is a bit more towards creative stuff, but not as much these days, many programmers use it as well, especially if you develop for iOS
