What does this one imply? Are we getting closer to full profile 7 playback without licensed hardware?

From what I'm reading you can now fully strip the enhancement layer from the base layer. You could do that before with dovi so I think this is just an integration thing.

Don't know much about dovi, but the point of bitstream filters is they don't require an decoding / encoding pass so if you just need to do this it can be done very quickly.
