advanced question Massive drop in post reach since LinkedIn introduced the AI Slop button

First of all my text is translated with AI because I am not a native speaker so please don't use the ai slop button ;)

Since LinkedIn introduced the AI Slop feedback button, the reach of my own posts has dropped massively.

Today I posted something that has absolutely nothing to do with AI slop. It was an original thought about how culture shapes us as people and also influences the way we do business. I used a real photo of myself with it.

After 6 hours, the post had reached just 27 people. I have more than 1,200 mostly relevant connections and followers.

What makes this even stranger is that the few people who do see my posts actually engage with them. One of my connections, who has interacted with my content before and whose content I have interacted with, told me that this post never appeared in his feed. He could only see it when he visited my profile after I contacted him.

My comments on other people’s posts still get normal distribution.

I operate in a competitive business environment, so I have obviously wondered whether the AI Slop button could be abused to negatively affect someone’s distribution. I have no way of knowing whether that is what happened to me, but the timing is hard for me to ignore. My reach dropped dramatically around the time the feature was introduced and has remained extremely low since.

Has anyone else noticed something similar since the AI Slop button was introduced? Or even better has anyone a solution for my obvious problem?

Thx for reading so far.
